OLD-STYLE ROTISSERIE

Right in the middle of the Grands Buffet restaurant is a magnificent roasting spit. Probably the biggest in France… Topped by the Gargantuan motto “Fay ce que vouldras” (“do as you will”), this impressive structure of cast iron and brass reflecting the flame of the fire invites you to partake of suckling pig, poultry, shoulder of lamb, kidneys, kebabs, quail, spare rib of pork, joints of beef, ham in a hammock... all turning tirelessly on their spits.

The plancha fries king prawns, salmon, squid and even amazing slices of foie gras.

Traditional casseroles (stews, old-style trip, Catalan snail, frogs’ legs, monkfish…) that have all but vanished from table in France take pride of place here.

Everything is cooked before your eyes, enjoyed at will and embalms the air with a fragrance to make a Tibetan hermit’s mouth water.
